Four kinds of flow keep a business moving.

Software, process, communication, and conveyance. When one of them breaks, the others quietly absorb the cost. BYD Legacy finds where the friction actually is, and builds the fix that holds.

What we work on

The four flows we untangle

These rarely fail in isolation. A stalled process usually started as a missed handoff; a missed handoff usually started as a system nobody trusts. We work across all four because the fix does too.

SW

Software

Systems that fight the people using them. We fix the tools you already own before we talk about replacing them — and we're honest when replacement really is the answer.

PR

Process

The route work takes from request to done, and every place along it where things stall, loop back, or quietly disappear.

CM

Communication

The handoffs between teams, vendors, and systems where information gets dropped, translated wrong, or simply arrives too late to matter.

CV

Conveyance

How materials, documents, approvals, and inventory actually move — the physical and procedural transport layer underneath everything else.

How we work

Four steps, in this order

We don't start with a platform recommendation. We start by watching the work happen.

01

Trace

We follow the work as it actually happens — the workarounds, the shortcuts, the extra spreadsheet — not as the org chart says it should.

02

Diagnose

We find the specific point where time, money, or trust leaks out, and we can show you exactly where it is.

03

Design

We build a fix sized to your operation — not a transformation program you didn't ask for.

04

Install

We put it in place, train the people who'll run it, and stay until it holds without us.

Why we're called Legacy.

Most consulting firms sell you a future state. We spend most of our time in the present one — the legacy systems, the legacy habits, the legacy contract nobody wants to renegotiate. That inheritance is real, and it's usually why the last three fixes didn't stick.

BYD Legacy exists to make what you already have work properly, and to leave something sturdier behind it when we go. We're not trying to be your permanent vendor. We're trying to make the case for hiring us again unnecessary.

That means small teams, direct access to the people doing the work, and recommendations sized to what your organization can actually absorb — not what looks best in a slide deck.

A typical engagement

One flow, four points of failure

A mid-sized distributor came to us about late shipments. The instinct was to blame the warehouse. What we traced instead was a single order moving through four separate breakdowns before it ever reached a truck — each one small enough that no one owned fixing it.

  • Software — order data re-entered by hand between two systems that didn't talk
  • Process — approvals routed to a manager who'd changed roles eight months earlier
  • Communication — status updates that reached sales but never reached the floor
  • Conveyance — routing decisions made on yesterday's inventory count
